Kells Wado-Kai Karate Association (KWKKA) has been active for over 20 years having built up a strong group of 60+ students ranging from 5-50 years old, who are actively training. Kells Wado-Kai runs three classes twice a week - junior, intermediate and senior classes are run in the Handball centre on Church Street, Kells. The junior class is focused on children aged from 5-12 with separate syllabus having been produced for this age group which will enable the children to be constantly assessed, firstly for their yellow belt and then further coloured belts. Junior Class Times: Tuesday 6.00pm to 7.00pm / Thursday 6.00pm to 7.00pm Senior Class Times: Tuesday 7.30pm to 8.30pm / Thursday 7.30pm to 8.30pm Instructor - Sensei Eamon Yore Eamon has been practicing karate for over 25 years and is currently a 5th Dan black belt. He has built the class up from a handful of students to over 60 junior and senior students participating at national and international level. He has recently been honoured by the Kells town councils with sport person of the year for his recent gold medal at the World Championships and his contribution to promote Karate in Kells town.
