Feed up with the Euro? How about your own local currency!

A number of towns and villages across America and the UK are starting to print and use their own currency. This is to keep the money in the town or village and to stimulate local business. Not only do local businesses benefit, but how about getting interest free loans? Or how about a higher interest rate on your savings than the local banks?  This is now happening.  A local town in the UK call Totnes implemented the "Totnes Pound" to help the local economy. Local businesses have seen an increase in their profit margin since the Totnes Pound was introduced. Here is an example of how this could benefit the local community:-
