The council have now erected a couple of Revenue Earning Signs, oops, I mean Speed Camera Signs on the R163 going in to and out of Kells. This unmarked, sneeky speed camera van was parked across the road from Conathy's who supply and distribute agricultural equipment.
Now as far the writer of this article is aware, speed cameras should only be located in accident black spots and not in general locations, like being parked outside Conathy's. If this is a wrong assumption, I'll be happy to update this article with the correct information. In the meantime, be aware that the the council are obviously short of funds and this is one of their many ways to suck more blood from us along with property charges and Irish Water charges!
